Are the escape games tablet- or app-based?
No, our escape tours are deliberately not tablet- or app-based to ensure a fully interactive experience. The investigative backpack, with its tactile equipment, invites participation and puzzle-solving. This way, we avoid a situation where one person is glued to a screen while others stand bored.
However, at least one internet-enabled smartphone (e.g., to retrieve an audio sequence) must be brought along.
This keeps the experience authentic and communal, with a touch of modern support where it is truly needed.
How many people is the tour suitable for?
Our outdoor escape tour is ideal for groups of up to 10 people. If you are a larger group, you can still participate; you'll split up and we'll provide you with several backpacks!
How much does the outdoor escape tour cost?
You can find the prices for each puzzle tour on the tour's page or during the booking process. Our tours generally cost €25 per person. The price is reduced for larger groups.
On the Sams tour, you pay per backpack, not per person.
Children are completely free, depending on the tour and their age. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us via chat.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing for a 2-3 hour stay outdoors and comfortable shoes for an approximately 3 km walk.
Bring a drink and maybe a snack.
Each group needs at least one internet-enabled smartphone. Otherwise, you will receive all the necessary equipment in the investigative backpack.
Is the tour playable regardless of the weather?
Yes, regardless of whether it's spring, summer, autumn, or winter, you can play the puzzle tours all year round. Even drizzle, wet ground, or wind won't bother you. However, if it's pouring rain on your booked time slot, you can reschedule or change your booking free of charge.
Are the tours suitable for children?
For children between 5 and 10 years old, we offer a special children's puzzle tour "The Sams" in Bamberg.
The tours "The Rider's Secret" and "The Master's Legacy," on the other hand, are not specifically designed for children and are too difficult for children to solve on their own. We have had good experiences when parents and children go together and solve the puzzles together. The routes are not too long, the puzzles can always be solved more easily with hints, and the tactile, interactive elements are especially enjoyable for children. Children up to and including the age of 7 can participate completely free of charge on the standard puzzle tours. From the age of 8, children are considered full participants.
When can we play the Escape Tour?
Our booking system shows all available dates. Since daylight is needed to solve the puzzle, we are dependent on sunrise and sunset, and therefore, start times are available in the early evening during the summer, but not in the winter.
What makes our escape games so special?
Unlike other outdoor escape games, our puzzle tours are only playable in the respective city and are not based on identical stations simply moved to different GPS coordinates. They are 100% tailored to the city, its history, and its locations, and cannot be played anywhere else. All puzzles are handmade, unique, and tactile. You don't need to install an app, and we don't provide a tablet. An internet-enabled smartphone is only required to listen to an audio sequence.
